Aquabiz is looking at product development of orange spotted grouper (Epinephelus coioides) and cobia (Rachycentron canadum). These tropical fish are also known as estuary cod and tropical salmon or black kingfish, respectively.

Both species are highly nutritious with high levels of Omega 3. Firm white flesh with mild flavours which can be prepared in many different ways.

Equally delicious grilled, fried, baked, or steamed, and is also excellent for sashimi and sushi, and can be smoked.

Market

There is high demand and interest from Singaporean and Hong Kong importers for live grouper and Australian importers for whole or value added product.

Aquabiz Oceania has obtained high interest and confirmation from a reputable European import export sea food company for the acquisition of fish product as soon as it becomes available. The company is well known and has extensive outlets throughout Europe and South East Asia.
